“CHRONIC MALNUTRITION PREVENTION IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA”

This year, we have decided to change things up a bit and provide additional support to ongoing projects in the following countries: Egypt, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Senegal.

Therefore, we are seeking to identify existing projects at the intersection of nutrition, nutrition-sensitive and resilient food systems, and the empowerment of women, with the primary goal of improving the nutritional status of children and mothers through improved diets. We’re looking for projects which have a strong and impactful innovative component.

We aim to have 1 project per country and to support this project we aim to mobilise between US$ 500,000 and US$ 1,000,000.

Organizations that meet ALL of the following criteria can apply for this grant:

  • Are an International NGO or a United Nations organization
  • Have been operating in the project country for at least 3 years
  • Have a global annual budget of at least US$ 1 million
  • Have an in-country annual budget of at least US$ 200,000
  • Are a member of a nutrition/food security coordination mechanisms in the country of project implementation
  • Have a physical presence and legal right to operate in the country of project implementation
  • Have experience implementing chronic malnutrition prevention activities in the country of project implementation
